At 53, I am not easily pleased. I enjoy good wine, good food, good company, but equally appreciate these all the more because they are not always the norm. Intelligent conversation and a reasonable level of intellect are a must in the company I choose, together with an awareness of nature and the wonders of the world we live in. I have however only found one person ever that was able to not only fulfil these criteria, but exceed them by far. And that is where this journal starts its origin. The story that will unfold will be fractious and not in sequence. But it will be the story of one of the greatest loves of our time, if not all time - mercilessly interrupted by events that I had not the wherewithal to overcome.
